What do you stand for?

It’s your life, your choices and your future!

Do you know what you want to do with your life? What are your goals? Have you thought about what you want to accomplish next month or in the next three months? What about next year?

Consider your goals and make a plan. The journey of life can be unpredictable and creating a plan will help you avoid some obstacles along the way. Write down where you want to go, your dreams and what you would like to achieve.

The first step in your incredible journey of life is to map out short-term and long-term goals.

Short-term goals can be accomplished within three to six months. For instance, you may want to try out for the basketball team next semester. While it may be several months down the road, the destination will quickly approach. You will want to figure out
what skills you must develop in order to make the team. You will need to schedule
practice time into your daily or weekly routine.

Long-term goals take more time to accomplish. It will take several steps to reach your goal within six months to a year. If your goal is to attend college, what are some short-term goals that must be achieved first? What will you have to do? Who can help
you?

The next step involves taking action. Plan out all the actions you must take to reach each of your goals. Stay on the right path and avoid detours when possible.

Now that you have created your personal road map you know what journey lies ahead.
It’s your choice, your journey and your destination.

Abstinence can help! When you decide to be abstinent, you can avoid many obstacles. You don’t have to worry about pregnancy, STDs/STIs or complicated emotional issues. You can stay on the road to your destination and not become stranded along the way.
