Why should you refuse?

Abstinence until marriage doesn’t mean never having sex. It just means waiting until you’re in a committed, adult relationship – marriage. Sex can complicate a relationship and lead to hurt feelings. If you have sex with someone when you aren’t ready or you’ve been pressured into it, you may feel hurt, angry, or guilty.

There is a difference between love and sex. Don’t feel pressured into having sex with someone to show them that you love or care about them. Friendship and romance can’t work without trust, honesty, caring and respect. A healthy relationship must be built on a strong foundation.

Abstinence can make dating better!

If you abstain from sexual activity there is no need to worry about STIs/STDs or pregnancy. Not having those worries can take a lot of stress off of a relationship. Choosing abstinence allows you to establish a relationship built on mutual respect.
